A Shattered Heart Empty A Shattered Heart

Post by Kiara Fri Dec 21, 2012 5:34 pm

Kiara felt the arm touch her shoulder while her gazed looked up at him. So this was it..it was time to go to the cargo, they were more than close enough to see the destruction. However, due to the heavy clouds in the area nothing could be seen. Taking in a deep breath Kiara removed his hand and started bending the clouds out of the way. The site that she saw would be nothing the young girl could ever forget.

There her home was..charred and burned...the many ice sculptures melted away while men worked feverishly to repair the damage done. It was something straight out of a nightmare as her eyes shook with fear, rage, and regret. Without thinking Kiara climbed over the railing and jumped whistling for Coto.

Having heard the very distinctive whistle Coto's ears perked up running outside to see Kiara free falling. He stepped back before following suit and jumping over the railing as he easily caught up with Kiara. She climbed onto his back and started bending the water below into one large wave. Surprising to even herself the girl timed it perfectly. Coto landed right in the wave as he struggled just a bit to swim to the surface. Kiara sat up on Coto gasping for a little breath, the icy water did not bother her the more her mind set on her homes condition. All she could do it ride the wave towards the tribe. Which did not take long. Once it crashed onto the icy way Coto did his best to keep steady but fell catching his breath. Kiara slid off of him rubbing his soft fur, "Good job buddy..."

At that point men and women from the sister tribe rushed towards her, they had watched the entire thing. Seeing her face and Coto's they automatically knew who they were. Helping her up and seeing if her guide was alright one of the men was about to say something when Kiara frantically cut them off.

"Where are they?! Is mom and dad alright?! What about big brother!!!"

At that point Coto looked back to see the air ship landing behind them and everyone stopping to see how it was. Once they had seen who had gotten off the all bowed respectfully up until he had stood next to Kiara.

"Someone answer me!!!"

They had all grown quiet, waiting for the Prince and the Northern leader to show their faces. Though they all knew it would take them a while to get word she was here. They all only hoped that Kiara would take the news well.

A Shattered Heart Empty Re: A Shattered Heart

Post by Naraca Sat Dec 22, 2012 10:09 am

The smell of burning...Char and smoke. The smell brought back memory's. All the fire's were put out and already men from the Northern Water Tribe had arrived. Hopefully they would know what happened here. Naraca felt anxious, for Kiara but not only that, but what effect this could have on the peace the four nations had worked so hard to achieve. Naraca was pretty good with investigation, however he was far from the best. Yet just by looking at things the way they were now, the whole place was completely decimated.
He saw no natives of the Southern Tribe and all the homes were either gone or burned and barely standing. Mercenary's couldn't of done this, but the Fire Nation doing it seemed so...Wrong. They had long since been trying to redeem themselves for what Ozai did long ago. Quite frankly they had achieved that goal, they were immensely helpful, using all the resources they stole from the other nations to give back to them and help them all rebuild and prosper.

Could this really have been the Fire Nation? He couldn't believe it, but then what did he really know? For 100 years the Fire Nation was an enemy, was it too optimistic to say that they had turned over a new leaf so soon? Regardless of who it was, this was history in the making. For a group or army wouldn't even be strong enough to do this, so who or whatever it was, was now a serious threat to the 4 nations.

Two Dai Lee Agents sprung into action, coming from seemingly no where as Kiara jumped off the railing. Naraca gasped as she jumped and immediately was about to jump off to catch her when he saw Coto already in her path.
He hesitated to jump once he realized that Coto would catch her.
There was an odd moment of silence within him for a moment. Back then he would have made use of his...Odd strength. Now though he almost had to remind himself that he wasn't that same man anymore.

Strange...Last time he had to remind himself was just when he became king.

The Dai Lee Agents jumped down from the ship to follow her, they were on a joint protective detail of both Naraca and Kiara. Naraca was priority one, but since Kiara was in more danger by suddenly jumping off, two had to go to her right away, whereas one stayed hidden with Naraca.
The Dai Lee Agents were wearing normal worker clothes, yet it was obvious that is was them once they bended there trade mark rock gloves. As they made there way down, Naraca had taken the longer way down by quickly making his way to cargo as the ship landed.
He had the cargo door opened quickly and he jumped down from it and landed on the ground made of snow and ice. He turned to find where Kiara landed and he rushed right over.
The Dai Lee Agents remained a few feet away from her, but secured the position where she was.

Naraca ran straight for her, seeing she was talking to some water tribe men. They saw him coming close and once they did they bowed there heads. However Naraca was in no mood for pleasantries.
"Where are the king and queen?!" He barked out to them.
His heart was beating fast, he wanted to know how they were. He couldn't fully explain it if he was asked, but he felt he needed to get Kiara there so she could know.
The water tribe men stayed silent, having just recently discovering what happened to them. How could they say it casually? How could anyone?

Naraca took a large step closer and looked right down at one of the men, the kings shadow over taking the man's and his eye's were filled with desperation and rage.
The man took a step back and his hands shook slightly. Naraca didn't want to scare him, but he had to force the answer out of this man, as he seemed to stricken with grief to say anything.
"Tell me!!" He ordered with a fiery that sounded like a lion roaring it's lungs out. The man jumped and started stammering.
"T-t-They...There in the...Main temple" He barely squeezed out.
Clearly they wouldn't get anymore out of him. Naraca quickly turned to Kiara, he knew the way there and he knew she did as well.
"Get on Coto, were going to the temple" He said to Kiara before looking in the direction of the temple and in no time at all he began to sprint as fast as he could over there. They had landed on the residential area of the temple, and they had to pass the residential area before heading into the main temple and in the king and queens throne rooms.

Naraca had a feeling they would be there.

He knew Kiara wouldn't fall behind, Naraca wasn't a quick man, but the immense strength in his legs allowed him to travel blazing fast speeds when running in a straight line. His running speed could be compared to a galloping horse.
Yet it wasn't fast enough.
He knew that Kiara knew the way, he knew that she would get there soon enough. His instincts were starting to take over, his teeth grit together with a feeling of desperation as he bent his legs down and took a mighty leap over the wall of the temple. He flew high into the sky before his feet slammed down into the court yard that lead right up to the main temple.
He felt he had to rush over there to see if they were okay. However his heart suddenly felt pain as it told him to stop.

"No...She has to be here...She has to be here" He told himself, remembering that Kiara had to be here to see this. It wasn't his right to tell her, they had no choice and she had to see for herself. They would both go, they would both see them. It wasn't Naraca's place to know before her.
He waiting by walking over to the door that lead to the temple, and thus the throne room.

He wasn't sure what he was doing right now. Was he praying?
As he stood here and waited, he began to see why he was feeling so strongly about this. He saw himself right now, a younger...17 year old version of himself. While his parents didn't die in this way he...He knew that this felt so much like him trying to stop his parents from dieing.

Ayame...

If only he were closer he could have stopped it. He felt these feelings boiling up. Why though? He had dealt with this long ago and made peace with it so why are these old scars opening again?
It was her...Kiara...Something about her was causing this reaction. This level of dedication he had to her personal feelings, these feelings of protection towards her. How he had bonded with Coto, her protector, so quickly.
Was really thinking like this? He was, and he starting to see himself in her, a younger version that he wished he could pull away from this sorrow, this grief.
Could he so quickly call her the daughter he never had?
He shook his head at the thought.
No question about it, he felt he had to protect her and keep her smiling. He knew better then this though, he knew not to get too connected so quickly. No doubt Kiara was unique, but Naraca was a harder man then that. Despite these thoughts, he was far from letting her..."In" to himself.
That was a much longer journey. What he did know though, was that he wanted to spare her as much pain as he could.
He wouldn't be as foolish as he was before though, he wouldn't let someone in. He couldn't, not after what happened, what he had learned. That was something that would take time.

He waited for Kiara's arrival, he waited by the closed doors of the throne room.

A Shattered Heart Empty Re: A Shattered Heart

Post by Kiara Sat Dec 22, 2012 2:01 pm

Coto looked over at his companion as Kiara stayed put despite Naraca running up ahead. Even though she desperately wanted to find out what had happened to her parents, the king and queen. Her duties as Royalty kicked in instinctively. Her feet guided her to the man the Earth King had intimidated and placed a hand gently onto his arm giving him a small smile.

"I...do apologize for his behavior. Where are my people...where their no survivors?"

The man nodded slowly letting her know they were a few still alive. "Your highness, a few managed to hide in the ice tunnels past the main temple. We do not know where they are located however. Only the..."

Kiara stopped him as Coto picked her up by her collar and tossed her onto his back. Kiara was already a bit numb inside from losing over half her tribe. Her sorrow would have to be saved for later terms. She wondered where Naraca was exactly seeing as she does what she wants and goes to her own pace. He had rushed ahead thinking she'd follow, but as princess her own duties were important.

"I know where they are exactly, you all just..continue what you are doing. We need to get this place cleaned up by sunset. Lets go buddy."

Coto turned to the direction the King had went and started running at top speeds. He was keeping his eyes ahead while Kiara was doing the opposite. This all felt like a dream, a horrible nightmare that wanted to be broken and have her awake right back in her bed. But the more she felt the cool air dance past her face the more she realized it was reality. Covered bodies laid in streets, burn marks darkened the walkways her friends and brother use to run on. A house or two collapsed from the damage as they rushed by. This was beginning to be over whelming, as she had seen Naraca the girl slid off her wolf once he stopped.

"Coto, tear down the curtain behind the thrown of Mom and Dad go through that door and make the first left. Slide down the tunnel and the survivors should be there. Hurry..I do not think I have much time."

When Coto left in the other direction Kiara looked at Naraca, it was obvious he was waiting for her to go through the doors first. Taking a deep breath everything had gone to complete silence. All the girl would hear was her own heart thumping as her hand touched the door to the temple. Her hand was about to give motion to push but something inside her made it very hesitant. Closing her eyes her hands pushed open the door but the first thing her eyes fixated on was the worst thing her mind would have imagined.

The way the two bodies were wrapped in Royal cloths made her eyes widend as if an invisible arrow pierced her heart. Kiara fell to her knees at the door not wanting to enter at all anymore. She took a step back before running the opposite direction. Kiara heard Naraca call out to her but she kept on running as the tears flowed halfway down her cheeks then off into the frigid air. What kept her legs going? Even she couldn't answer that. As she looked ahead her eyes caught the site of the half damaged Gazebo where she had said her goodbyes. As if it flashed back quickly she swore she had seen herself, her parents, and brother standing there in a hug embrace all promising to see each other when she came back. But never...it was never suppose to be like this..

Reaching the end of the shore line where every one had been but had went back to work the teen gasped for breath from the emotions and heart break clenching her breath. In one loud exhale the tears began flowing as she fell to her knees. The palms of her hands kept her from falling completely on the ice as the tears fell onto the smooth surface. As she cried the many images started playing in her head.

Her father chasing her when she was little in the yard...

Her mother and brother playing hide and go seek with her...

Them being there when she was announced as the Avatar...

Her mother giving her the moon crystal for her sixteen birthday...

Coto and her father wrestling in the middle of the throne room and her mother scolding them...

As the memories started flashing inside her mind faster and faster the guilt and sorrow turned to rage. Her body shook a but before her head snapped back up and her eyes had been taken over by the light blue color. For the first time every Kiara had reached the Avatar state.

When doing so however a few men and women tried to reach her but were blown back by a wave of wind as her hand turned to fists and slammed the ice cracking it in several places. Water started to erupt from the open spaces just as a tsunami sized wave started to approach the Tribe. The water that had been spewing out of the cracks began to divide her from the rest of the people by creating very thick sheets of ice between them...

Coto sensed something had gone terribly wrong and rushed out the hole with about fifteen children and six adults. A very beautiful woman was on his back named Tikaani, while Otaka was beside him. As they heard the screams of people they made the children stay put with Tikaani while Otaka hopped onto Coto and both took a dash to the outlook post that was still intact to the palace. Out in the distance Otaka had seen the 100 foot wave headed this way and Kiara at the very front of the shore line.

"Shit...Coto come on we don't have much time!"

He knew that she must have found their parents bodies, he had already mourned but Kiara...she was a very fragile person. This was devastating to his sister...but if something wasn't done she was going to submerge the rest of the tribe in water.

A Shattered Heart Empty Re: A Shattered Heart

Post by Naraca Sat Dec 22, 2012 11:40 pm

(Finished)

Naraca remained silent as he waited for Kiara to make the first move and go into the throne room. He wouldn't do it himself, he waited for her. Were he not a stronger man he'd of entered on his own to get these feelings of wonder out of his head. However, once she entered, Naraca was able to see over her. Royal robes blanketed two bodies that lay side by side.
Naraca took a deep breath through his nose and sighed at the site. He was very familiar with the appearance of the dead. By himself, he could never fully get used to seeing the dead, however he was hard enough to take it in without it scarring him anymore.
This was a special case however, for Kiara this was the first time she had suffered such a loss.

He didn't know what to feel, the numbness already kicked in as pain of this loss had attacked his already scarred soul. He not feel pain in seeing this, however he felt Kiara's pain. The brutal memories had decided to haunt him once more.
He had nothing to say, what could he say?
The site devastated Kiara so much that she ran as fast as she could away. Naraca didn't stop, he didn't even try to. She needed space right now, he wouldn't stop her.
He watched as she ran away, he made sure he knew where she was running. The Dai Lee Agents would also keep track of her whereabouts.
He took a deep breath then stepped inside the throne room. Walking over to the bodies he observed the damage around him. The whole place almost black and burned, barely standing at all there was only a few patches of the blue temple that remained.
The damage was fire no doubt, fire benders. He looked up and noticed a rather massive hole, that explained the debris that still fell from it.
He walked over to the bodies and knelt down by there heads. One body seemed rather intact, while the other looked like it was barely holding together.
He used his hand to lift up the robes that covered the face of the more intact body. It revealed the king with closed eye's and a completely lifeless and still expression on his face. Naraca observed the body and saw no wounds. He lifted the curtain up more until he could see the mans body. A hole was in his stomach, one that went all the way through as he could see the ground he was laying on through the hole.
Naraca shook his head and put the curtain back down.
He lifted up the second curtain but inhaled deeply at the site. There was no body, it was just a collection of black dust, some of which blew away from the wind. He immediately put the curtain back down.
Whoever did that had impaled the king, then completely obliterated the queen until there was almost nothing left.

Naraca stood back up on his feet. He looked around the temple again.
This was fire benders, and this damage was too big for just a few people. This had to be the Fire Nation. The evidence that was here so far pointed towards them. He would have to arrange a meeting with the Fire Lord.
He was now a suspect under a current investigation. This was now a crime scene.
Slowly, he took a step back, then turned around to walk out. The Earth Nation would set up a team here to investigate all the damage taking place here.
With a simple hand signal Naraca called a Dai Lee agent which had ran into the throne room and stood at attention in front of him.

"Send word to Tug, tell him to call Adviser Roth and get an investigation team here. This whole land will undergo investigation. Also let them know that the King and Queen here are dead" He explained to the Dai Lee Agent before he ran off to go inform Tug on what happened.

Naraca placed his hand on his face and rubbed as he felt stress starting to creep its way towards him. He kept himself contained though.
However, the sudden loud crash he heard had caught his attention. Right away he stormed out of the throne room and ran out to the court yard. A shiver ran up his spine as he had witnessed Kiara's bright blue eyes from even as far away as he was.
She did not run far off so the damage she was creating reached the outer wall of the temple.

Damn...What could he do? He couldn't hurt her, but from how powerful she had become, and the lives she was putting at risk, was there no other way? Could he get through to her? Was it even possible?
He had to try.

Wasting no time Naraca jumped over the wall and landed on the snowy ground where Kiara was transforming.
"Kiara!! Stop this!!!" He called out to her.
She instead slammed her fists through the ice and caused it to crack.
Naraca stumbled and almost fell over but was able to quickly catch his footing.
"Kiara!!!" He yelled before the ground violently tore apart and forced Naraca to jump onto a large sheet of ice that had been ripped off the ground.
He had to get through to her somehow.
"Damn it, is this how your going to honor your mother and father?! By destroying there home?!" He called out to her, hoping she could hear him.
Looking to his side however he saw a utterly massive tidal wave that was rising and about to approach.
Naraca's right hand tightened into a fist. The people that were in danger, even his ship and people on there weren't safe. He knew all about the Avatar State and what it was capable of. He didn't want to do it, but if had no choice he knew he have to stop her.
"Kiara don't do this please!!! I don't wanna hurt you!!!" He cried out to her. His stance became wide and his hands were open like claws. He prepared himself for the worst.

"Snap out of it!!!"

A Shattered Heart Empty Re: A Shattered Heart

Post by Kiara Sun Dec 23, 2012 7:21 pm

Otaka out the corner of his eye caught a large man taking a offensive stance while looking at Kiara. Force was just going to make the state she was in worse. Coto stopped suddenly at the ground cracking and a flow of water bursting threw it. The force of the hault caused Otaka to flip off of Coto straight into the spout of water. As it shot him up his hands instinctively used waterbending to guide himself over the ice and right next to his sister.

This was the first time he had seen her cause so much damage in less than two minutes. As the wave approached he set his hand gently on her shoulder squeezing it.

"I'm here Kiara, it's going to be okay."

Her head quickly turned to look at who had touched her, realizing who it was her eyes widened before both her hands raised in the air turning into a fist. Otaka watched the wave roaring closer until it's noise suddenly stopped. He smiled a bit, so even in an enraged state of mind Kiara knew to protect her people for the long run. His dark blue eyes stared at the froze thicket of wall now surrounding the tribe. If someone wanted in they would have to use excessive force..they'd have more than enough time to fight back.

Kiara then stood on her feet before hugging tightly onto her brother the tears still flowing while her eyes returned to their icy color.

"You're...okay.." The words were mumbled before the girl passed out. Otaka caught her in his arms carrying her, looking down and smiling softly.

"I'm sorry.." He replied before looking at the cracks that no longer has water spewing out of them. Footsteps could be heard crushing the snow as he made his way back into the palace. Most of it had been repaired so without any delay he laid his sister down in her room before shutting the door tightly behind her.

That was when Tikaani stood at the doors entrance waiting for him. "Otaka, are you alright?"

Otaka simply nodded before going back outside, this time however Coto was standing beside Naraca waiting for the King to say something.

"As King of this tribe I am telling you that my sister tribe and I our handling the investigation. The only help I want from the Earth Nation is rebuilding our home."

He said this as calm as he could while he was pondering the events that had just happened. His eyes stared down at the damage Kiara had done, for so long she kept that side of her under control and for it to explode like that caused concern. Coto whined and scooped Otaka up onto his and started walking back towards the group that needed help building the homes.

That was when Tikaani, the spirit counselor along with Otaka's girlfriend came outside. Her dark brown hair and grey eyes captivated most who looked. But now they shown a bit regret and sadness.

"I apologize for his behavior, so much has changed within these past few days. I do thank you though for bringing the princess and her guide back."

Her face grew a bit concerned when looking at the giant that stood before her. This man definitely had something inside clawing at it's cage. It was as if her eyes were looking directly at it but she showed no fear. At least not now. "Earth King, how long have you had that other side of you?"

She asked out of the blue, but remembering something very important she had chosen to speak again. "Kiara, is the thousandth Avatar gracing her presence to the world. This means her Avatar State it much...threatening to her enemies and those around her. Force will not be the answer to calm her nor hurtful words. Calmness and love during a time of need cures all. Otaka just showed you that, I do suggest however you get your spirit situated before dealing with hers."

Before Tikaani could say anything else the surviving kids swarmed her pointing to the sky. White snow flakes started falling from the grey clouds above. She smiled softly remembering the words of the queen,

I want the snow to cover the old when I am gone...to begin anew.

"The Princess has always loved snow, her mother would always help her build a fort. Even at the age she is now to play with the kids. You can follow if you like. You need to keep an eye on Kiara with me, I'm sure she won't want to wake up alone."

With that Tikaani walked back inside the palace with the group of kids that followed her closely as if she was mother duck.

A Shattered Heart Empty Re: A Shattered Heart

Post by Naraca Mon Dec 24, 2012 4:47 pm

It was a boy, of all people that ran towards the seemingly destructive Avatar. All it took was a simple touch on the shoulder and her power simply ceased. He was too far away to hear them talking yet it seemed that was all there was too it. Did she know this guy in some way? She had to, for all it seemed like he did was touch her shoulder and say something. Her power then stopped and she fell into his arms.
Naraca relaxed his stance, however a puzzled look remained on his face. How did she just stop? The Earth King had heard stories of the Avatar State being powerful but never before had he heard how to stop it. His offensive stance was a backup plan as he honestly had no idea what to do.
The man who carried Kiara walked her over to the palace. Naraca wasn't sure what to say, so he said nothing and followed.

Getting up to the palace he saw the man walk into a room in and leaving Kiara inside. He noticed Coto coming up beside him as he waited before a woman came over. She called him Otaka. Naraca's knew that name from a passing conversation with the King and Queen of this place during a meeting. They had mentioned that they had a son as well that went by that name. So this was the heir to the throne, the new King.
His response in wanting the Earth Nation only to help rebuild was understandable but not quite as simple as a mere request.
Yet he would give the boy time, after losing his land like this Naraca wouldn't push.
"We'll talk about that later" He replied to Otaka.

Although there was business to be done, Naraca knew space with something a lot of these people needed right now. He did need to know what happened though, that was something he'd have to ask soon.
The woman who remained seemed like she would stay with Kiara as she recovered. Naraca stood just outside the door as Tikanni and Otaka's girlfriend.
Tikanni's sudden question caused him to turn his head to her with narrow eye's. He had a very quick memory of black fog as he heard the question, yet he did not answer her. It wasn't something wanted to talk about, nor would he ever talk about it. It's been under control for a long time now, and he aimed to keep it that way and not give it and kind of light.
This however followed her advice on how he should better handle her going into the Avatar State.
He hadn't known what to do before, so that was news for him. He merely nodded at the advice he was given. Mention he should sort out his spirit though seemed uncalled for. He merely expressed a small frown.
"My spirit isn't your concern" He replied simply in a low voice. Hoping she would get the message to end the discussion on himself. It wasn't her place to bring up the topic and it wasn't something he wanted to talk about. He'd deny her any information on his spirit or what lurked within himself had she brought it up again.

Her request to join her though came with another nod. The children which followed her all seemed affected by the chaos that had ensued. Were these the only children still alive? This was a dark day for everyone. Naraca wanted to do his best to be gentle on the matter of what had happened. He would have to know how this place was overthrown.
Following Tikanni into the room he looked straight towards Kiara. She seemed to be sleeping normally as though nothing had happened.
He let the Tikanni and the children take the chairs while he leaned his back against a wall but still remained close enough to Tikanni so he could talk to her.
"I'm sorry if this is too soon to ask, but can I ask you what happened here?" He asked her simply. He didn't know how else to put it, so all he could do was ask plain and simple.

A Shattered Heart Empty Re: A Shattered Heart

Post by Kiara Mon Dec 24, 2012 10:27 pm

"Hrmm...." Darkness, where was she? Kiara heard no ocean, felt no breeze..just an stillness.

"Kiara...sit up..." A familiar yet mysterious voice commanded.

"Whaaaa??" What was it? This felt a bit too real for her. As she sat up her eyes burst open and she freaked out a little. "Where am I?!....did I die??"

The voice laughed as he patted her shoulder, this one was really animated. "Kiara no you did not die."

Kiara turned around looking at who touched her, the fear evolved into happiness and she hugged her past self, which was Avatar Aang. "So..does this mean I am in the spirit world because....?"

"Yes, you went into the avatar state? Tricky state isn't it?" He laughed a little before smiling still her way, "The Avatar state is way more intense and strong with you. Only because.." He moved his right hand to the side as all past avatar's appeared behind him. "You are the thousandth Avatar, this means a significant change within yourself. If you cannot control it Kiara you can very much destroy yourself along with others. As Avatar we want to keep peace going, not instill fear in the worlds hearts. You'll wake up soon, I'm sure I'll see you around again. Under a more...calm circumstance."

With that Aang started vanishing while Kiara reached for him, so many questions needed to be answered yet he was withdrawing from her site and mind. "Wait...I..I don't know how to control it!!"

The spirit world began vanishing as Kiara dropped into darkness which she eventually started dreaming.

In the living world Kiara's body tossed and turned before relaxing once more. He breathed slightly relaxed as she continued sleeping. That was when Tikaani shook her head about answering his question. There was no way she'd answer with all these children around. Getting up she opened the door as two surviving guards stood there. "Can you please escort the children to the Sister Tribe's care center? I want them to feel safe there instead of here with all this noise."

Nodding the two calmly gathered the children in dead silence and left the palace. Tikaani shut the door before sitting back down sighing heavily. Her grey eyes stared into this aged man's green ones.

"I felt an unbelievable presence, I passed out due to it but it felt as if it was a force of a thousand men coming into the place we called home. I opened my eyes and remember seeing things in flames. I ran as fast as I could to the palace, but I tripped over bloody and burned bodies. I hear several cries for help and begging to stop but the sounds of flames drowned out their dying cries.."

Tikaani wiped the tears that had started flowing, "That..that was when Otaka found me after rounding up some kids and rushed into the palace. There was on man chasing us..yet he was walking so slow. I assume he was the leader of the group that came he was heading into the temple..once we were inside Otaka pushed the throne and we got into hiding. It was then I heard him pleading to his mother to stay and hide with us while he went into the temple to help fight with his father..but instead she made him come in there with us. Otaka said his goodbye and quieted the children and adults in case the man was coming in."

She took a deep breath before covering her face sobbing, "It got quiet...we stayed in the safe tunnel until Coto came to get us. The royalty only knows where the hiding spot is, we thought it was the fire nation coming to claim this place..instead it was the sister tribe. We would have came out sooner but we were terrified. I lost my family, my little brother just turned 6..."

A Shattered Heart Empty Re: A Shattered Heart

Post by Naraca Thu Dec 27, 2012 8:35 pm

The aged Earth King had long since been aware of what it was like to lose loved ones. Did that make it any easier for him though? No, it only helped him better understand these feelings. He wished he could do more for these people, yet nothing would help them get over this loss. They had to mourn and repair themselves with only the support of the loved ones they had left. It wasn't going to be easy for them, not for a long time. All he could do was listen to her story and be as gentle as he could be. Although he was a beast, every animal had a caring side, this was Naraca's.

This presence she felt, the man that she saw. Those seemed like the things she would be able elaborate on. Her perspective wasn't the best at all though, she didn't even see any soldiers, just one man by himself. Still though it was something at least.
Once the children left he had sat down on a chair that was across from her. He let her finish before he would say anything.
"I'm sorry about all this" He said to Tikanni before taking a look over at Kiara who was laying down and fidgeting in her sleep a little.
Dreaming was she?
"I'll do whatever I can do to bring this tribe back to it's former glory. Your home won't stay like this for long" He said to assure her he'd do whatever he can to make this right.
"This man you saw, the one that was walking slowly. Can you tell me anything about him? What he looked like, how many soliders he had, anything like that?"

"Not I, I will do nothing. We, we shall restore our home far more than its former glory."

Tikaani quickly turned her head to see the prince standing there against the door frame. His eyes stared directly at the Earth King. As her grey eyes looked into his dark blue Tikaani could only see how much suffering he was rendering inside.

"My sister, the Avatar, has given us a wall of protection miles out in the ocean as a beacon of safety while we rebuild. We'll take your help but we'll do it together. Not just you."

How was she suppose to defuse this situation? Apparently the Water Tribe King had taken this man's honest words of help as a way for the Earth King to self indulge in saying he built the Southern Water Tribe.

Kiara however, was hearing this entire conversation. Her back was turned to the three while her eyes were just staring at the shelf beside her bed. Having had enough of the poison filling the room Kiara sat up turning to face them and stretched. Of course her eyes looked directly at her older brother.

"Oka, we all have lost a lot by this tragedy. Of course my friend Naraca, the Earth King, may have said I but I'm sure he didn't mean it that way. As of now we need all the help we can get."

Turning to look at Tikaani she nodded her head in a hello manner, "I am happy to at least see you alive, Oka would have really shut down if you were caught in the fire. I know mom and dad gave their lives fighting. We all should remember that too and build a damn good home to prove it."

Without saying anything else Kiara jumped out of bed walking past all of them and going to see what she could help with. The children actually is where she was going to go..they needed much more comfort. But her body peeked back in her room smiling,

"Oka, take Naraca with you to help with anything. Aani, come with me."

Tikaani stood bowing at Naraca before leaving to follow Kiara. Otaka stood there looking at Naraca a bit shell shocked at his sister springing up and moving around like nothing had happened...like she did nothing abnormal.

"I do apologize...however, my mind is focused more on here moving around with such ease."

A Shattered Heart Empty Re: A Shattered Heart

Post by Naraca Sat Jan 05, 2013 6:01 am

Tikanni had no time to answer his question before he suddenly head a voice behind him. Naraca turned and saw Otaka with an expression of frustration. He heard Naraca's words and took them as though the Earth King was going to do all the work. Help was all he meant, he'd do all he could to provide it, however Naraca didn't respond. He wouldn't argue with a man holding in his grief, it would only make things worse. However once he finished speaking Naraca did get up on his feet, towering over Otaka, Kiara and Tikanni.
It was something Naraca found a mixed blessing. With everyone so small compared to him, he could see more then they might have thought. As an example it's much easier to look over a crowd of ants rather then being underneath a crowd of people. He was like a watch tower, keeping a look out on everyone around him. He could see them, the question was, how high would they look to see him?

Kiara's rise and words came as a relief to the giant as he silently exhaled through mouth and looked towards her. She had freed herself from her coma and now appeared as though nothing had happened. He stayed quiet however, in fact he took a few steps back so that he was against the wall and everyone was in front of him. Why? His instinct kicked in, and his large body felt in the way of family.
Kiara had taken Tikanni away, but it was not a loss. Otaki should have a had a much better look at everything. Naraca wanted to try and be gentle, even he could see that the man was a deep pain that he had yet to fully express. The magnitude of losing what feels like everything is something that takes time for one to even fully comprehend.
He let Kiara and Tikanni leave, then he turned his gaze towards Otaka who was already looking at the Earth King with an apology.

"She's a tough girl" He replied to Otaka and a small chuckle.
"Kiara's been staying strong, I don't blame her for going into that State" He said before sighing and rubbing his eye's with his fingers.
"Now I know it's just happened" He said, pausing for a moment.
"And I'm sorry for saying this, but almost all of your men are dead, and those that are left are mostly women and children. I can have men come in to help you rebuild, but I need you to tell me who did this. If you know anything about them, who it was, why they were doing it, everything you know about this attack" He explained before getting his back off the wall and walking towards Otaka.

"Tikanni said she saw someone alone, it sounds like the leader of the army that attacked. If you can tell me everything you know, I can try to sort this out" He finished, trying to show concern while at the same time hoping he could get some answers.
In his mind he thought about what this would mean for the peace agreement if it was fire nation. An attack like this might be unforgivable to Otaka, and it would be he that would decide how to take this. Naraca hoped this could be sorted out diplomatically, that this may have been a grave misunderstanding, or that this just wasn't Fire Nation at all. If it was though, there didn't seem to be any way out for them. Otaka might want revenge, or demand payment for this. If the Fire Nation did do it, they would likely refuse, hence the beginning of a war. If it wasn't intentional, then there would they be on seriously thin ice. If it wasn't them though, well this just might actually bring the 4 Nations together to combat a new enemy.

He could only hope that it wasn't the Fire Nation. Yet he had a feeling that the Fire Nations innocence wasn't the answer he would receive.

"If we knew who it was don't you think we would have said something already?"

Otaka looked at the man before starting to walk out the room,

"You are welcome to follow if you want details."

He waited only for a few before starting to walk along side the burly man. "We do not know who it was. I was so busy gathering the people that I could. All I know is what my girlfriend knows. Maybe the Land of Destruction knows who it was, and by that land I mean the fire nation."

A woman bowed as they both walked by before continuing to work feverishly on the detail of the new palace being made. It was then that Otaka stopped a very tired smile showing on his face, "Do not worry about the palace, tell every one that I want the every home repaired. Let our Northern sisters know that I want the bodies of our loved ones removed and prepared for a burial."

"Yes your highness, I will get it done now." With that the woman scurried off to let others know of the new orders.

"My main focus is not the man, it's my home for now. I would appreciate any given help. I would like for you though...to make a personal journey with my sister to the fire nation to see if they had anything to do with this."

Otaka stared at the man grinning, "That is if you are up for it?" a silhouette in the window caught his eye. Walking up to it he was seeing his sister and Tikaani run off towards the group of orphans. "Most people don't even know she is adopted unless she tells them..I can cope as long as nothing happens to her."

---------

It would not take long before Kiara had a sudden idea. "Hey Tikaani, you are able to connect with the spirits in the spirit world correct?"

"Of course Kiara. Would you like for me to contact the ones who've passed over?" Tikaani's grey eyes stayed on this girl. She obviously wanted someone to say their goodbyes to everyone. "That is a lot of people Kiara..I can only contact about three."

"Leave that to me. I think Aang and Roku can help me." Kiara smiled, "As for now, we need to do something for the orphans. I want them to have a special haven and a pet..."

As the avatar whistled for Coto Tikaani couldn't help but smile at the big wolf. She instantly hugged his nozzle before he lifted her up off the ground then set her back down.

"Coto, I need you to go and talk to the fellow wolves...see if we can have some of their pups. Same with the giant goats. Hurry, we don't have much time."

"You think this will work?" Tikaani asked looking at Kiara, for someone so young she was so selfless.

"I know it will, animals are a great way to cope..Coto was there for me when I got the news. Without him I am pretty sure I would have destroyed the Earth Palace."

Both girls laughed about the joke until Kiara grinned, "When I am done, I will give you a signal. You remember that song mom use to use to lure us inside or to her when it was time to settle down?" When Tikaani nodded the girl smiled softly, "Sing that one. I better get going. You make sure to rest up for tonight."

And with that the girl was off once more.

A Shattered Heart Empty Re: A Shattered Heart

Post by Naraca Thu Jan 10, 2013 3:53 pm

It seemed not even Otaka knew what had happened. This peaked Naraca' curiosity though, if it was army then certainly he would have seen at least one solider. An army invading your home is rather hard to miss. Could it have been a smaller team? Elite fire benders perhaps? It was possible, but still a team that strong would have had to be noticed. The Northern Water Tribe is indeed more heavily fortified, but the Southern Water Tribe is still strong, we're talking an army of water benders at least. So could this team just so powerful that the Southern Water Tribe's entire defense system wasn't even able to touch these fire benders? They couldn't even do much as hail the Northern Water Tribe about the crisis unfolding right next door? This caused some serious concern for Naraca.

Walking with Otaka he listened to what he said and what he had asked. Walking outside he could clearly see everyone scrambling to get things back the way they were. There were no smiles, no one was happy, but there were two different types of faces he saw. Sad or determined. There were those that were already grieving, then there were those that were anxious to get things back how they were. No one was happy on this day though.
Otaka wanted Naraca to go to the Fire Nation to better sort this out.
Naraca nodded his head to the new Water tribe king.
"I was considering heading over there. I'd be more then willing." He replied to Otaka's request.
Otaka's words about he could cope so long as Kiara was safe were remembered.
"Hey" Naraca said while lightly hitting Otaka's shoulder with his hand.
"I'll keep her safe I promise. You just focus on your people." He told him while bending down slightly to get better close eye contact with the Otaka.
"Don't forget to take of yourself, find time to grieve, otherwise it'll kill ya if you keep it inside. Trust me on that" He said with a small smile as he spoke from experience.
"Now, I'll get send you some of my men which I'll have help you in anyway they can. I'll get Kiara then we can leave for The Fire Nation. You'll see Kiara again soon" He would tell him before offering a handshake to Otaka. Naraca would keep the handshake firm before leaving to go walk towards Kiara.

It wouldn't take long before he reached her. She was already leaving as well.
"Hey!" He call out to her to get her attention.
"I'm gonna heading over to The Fire Nation to sort this all out. Otaka requested that you join me. That sound good?" He asked her before he would start heading back to the ship preparing for a trip over to the Fire Nation.

Otaka went with him to see his sister, there was no way he'd skip out on seeing her just because this happened. What made him laugh was the fact that this man had it in his head Kiara was going to listen to him. Even when it came to his parents Kiara went by the beat of her own drums and no one elses.

He stood there once catching up to the three people who were standing in the middle of the debris. Otaka could only watch this scene play out while he knew the look on Kiara's face all too well.

Kiara looked at Naraca with her nose a bit scrunched up annoyed. Did he not see this destruction? The chaos, the children? The atmosphere of this place?

"Excuse me? I am not leaving until my people are comfortable and have suitable homes. I have to make sure they all are fine and come to terms with what happened before I leave. It's not just my duty as the princess....but as Avatar. You are welcome to stay or even go ahead. But I will not rush and leave my brother here alone with a mess to clean up."

Kiara looked at Otaka a little annoyed at him for even suggesting. That was when Otaka lifted his hands up grinning, "Remember now, you are the youngest. I am older than you. So you have to listen." He grinned wider, "Go on and work on your surprise for the kids...I know that is why you wanna stay longer."

Kiara simply nodded before turning her back to them and heading towards the block of ice in the back of the damaged houses. Tikaani went off to do Kiara's request and gather the kids and adults.

Naraca took a step from Kiara when she responded in the way she did. It was more his body telling her that he was willing to let her do her own thing. Otaka coming by shortly after thought and telling her she had to listen to him just made Naraca smile a little. He felt really out of place here, he wasn't from here, these weren't his people that this wasn't his family. All he could really do was let the events unfold before him.
Hearing about the surprise caused his eye's to narrow a little though. He followed Kiara as she walked over to a block of ice.

"A surprise? Anything I can help with?" He asked her casually as he looked back to where Tikanni was going.

(I really couldn't think of much on this own, seems you got something in mind so I can respond to it with a better post)

Kiara nodded at him looking at the wall of ice. "Actually...I do need your help." She turned to him smiling, "If you could bring me a long metal chain that'd be great."

When he left to go get them Kiara start to diligently sculpt the ice. She made an entrance into the ice wall before walking inside and sculpting a circular room inside. After that she kept working on the surprise that was in store. She made a ice slide that spiraled around the room. A few tall beautiful ice sculptures to climb and play on. Kiara hopped on them all to make sure they were sturdy enough.

Last but not least she made two rows of ice bars for the swing sets. Now all she needed were the chains. Waiting patiently for Naraca to come back she grinned widely snatching them out his hands when he returned.

"Thank you!! Like it so far? I made sure it wasn't in the sun, rather somewhere like a little club for them. Kiara broke the chains evenly as she chained them to the bars. Kiara had picked up a few rubber tubes and wrapped them in animal fur before attaching the fur covered seats to the chains.

"I'm done...I think they'll like it."

Kiara grabbed his hand before running out the little haven she made for them and making her way towards the spirit temple.

As they made there way there not a person was outside. Once she opened the door everyone was standing there waiting for her while Tikaani was standing in the middle of the lake. Coto sat next to Otaka and the surviving children and adults. "Take a seat next to my brother."

Kiara then took a deep breath getting ready to help Tikaani with her request. She had gotten into the spirit lake before holding Tikaani's hand. That was when she looked at the surviving members of her tribe.

"I would like for you all to circle the lake."

As they did so Kiara and Tikaani closed their eyes and concentrated. Within five minutes Kiara's eyes opened to that pure ice blue like she was in the Avatar State. Tikaani's glew a bright silver as the water began to ripple a bit. Coto's hair stood up on his back sensing the powerful spiritual gifts Tikaani was using.

Tikaani spirit gift was special. She was able to call a spirit to her and have it manifest...as long as she was in a spiritual place. Kiara was just there to help her call and manifest more than one.

It didn't take long for the former living tribe members showed themselves to their remaining living members and said their goodbyes formally and comforted their children, siblings, and friends. It took only half an hour but Kiara stopped helping after a while breaking out of her spirit state and sat next to her brother who was at the edge of the lake.

Tikaani stayed in her spirit state and lifted both her hands as the King and Queen manifested themselves in front of the group. Everyone had bowed except for Kiara and Otaka who stood up. Kiara was a bit teary eyed as their father spoke.

"Nothing is accidental, we have been called to come home. I do not want you two to feel like we suffered."

That was when the queen spoke, "Fight for what you love and care about, it is what we did and we regret nothing. We'll always be with you...even if you don't see us."

The King and Queen hugged their children tightly with a bright smile afterwards. They touched their children's cheeks before looking at Naraca.

"Thank you...so much for helping. We would like you and our sister tribe to personally see to it that our home and children go down the right path."

"It is time for us to go, Kiara has a role to fill in the fire nation. Go with caution. You know nothing about what they are capable of." The King said before they both embraced their children again and disappeared back into spirit world from the lake.

Kiara wiped a tear off her face as Otaka wrapped an arm around her shoulder pulling her closer. "Goodbye. We will make you proud to have given your lives."

Otaka jumped into the tiny lake before catching Tikaani as she leaned on him for support. Kiara smiled from her spot, "That was just what we needed...closer. Now, you rest up and give the kids their surprise when you wake back up."

Tikaani nodded before Otaka picked her up and climbed out of the Lake. "You guys hurry and go. I can handle this. You just be careful."

Kiara nodded before bending the water out of her clothes and climbing on Coto who turned towards the door. "You do the same." She rubbed Coto's side, "Lets get going buddy." Kiara looked at Naraca, "You ready?"

As she said her goodbye's she laughed a little when walking towards the air ship. "You know...I am happy. Never take life for granted ya know? They didn't suffer...that's all I needed to know."

When they got to the air ship Coto hopped on it with Kiara holding on tight as they waited for Naraca to give the signal to leave. She hopped that when she came back this place would have no trace of a tragedy.

A Shattered Heart Empty Re: A Shattered Heart

Post by Naraca Sun Jan 13, 2013 5:33 pm

Naraca payed attention to where Kiara had left when she had asked for a long chain. She didn't tell him what kind of chain or how big or...Anything really. So he assumed it would be just a very generic chain that was your common size. He nodded his head and left for his air ship where he knew they would have one of those.
It didn't too long for him to get to it, he would just be able to get one in cargo. The ship's bottom rested on the thick ice of the floor. He noticed his crew all wearing heavy coats and thick pants. Was it really that cold? The Earth King hadn't noticed, his body conditioning just let him shrug it off.
The ramp to cargo was down so he walked up the ramp passing one guy who ran jogged past him.
He knew the chain would be in engineering so he went up the stairs and made a couple turn before he got into the engine room. The room smelt thick with grease and smoke as there was an air of steam all around. The engineers were all wearing gas masks as they worked.
The head of engineering, a man called Cotes. He had an average build and not much else could be seen other then his thick rubber clothing that he wore as he used a rather large saw to cut a large pipe. The screeching sound that came from it was deafening as metal sliced through metal.
Naraca kept his distance so his ears wouldn't be too overwhelmed by the noise.
"Hey Cotes!!" He called out.
Cotes continued sawing and didn't even turn his head.
"Cotes!!!" He yelled again a little louder.
The head engineer turned his head slightly and saw his King standing by the entrance.
"What?!" Cotes yelled through his mask as he continued to saw.
"Can you take off the mask?!" Naraca replied.
"What?!"
"I said can you turn off the saw?!"
".......What?!"
"Turn off the saw!!!"
Naraca yelled at the top of his lungs.
Cotes paused for a moment before nodding his head and pulling the saw blade up from the pipe then switching it off. He placed it down on the pipe and walked over to Naraca.
"Hey sir" Cotes said with a smile even though Naraca couldn't see through the black gas mask.
"Hey, do you have a long chain I could use?"
"What?"
"A long chain"
"A long chain?"
"Yes...Do you have one?"
"....Sure I have a chain, what kind?"
"Nothing special, just a regular chain"
Naraca was able to tell him finally.
Cotes pasued for a moment.
"What?" He asked again.
Naraca sighed and rolled his eyes.
"I said-"
"Oh yeah I can get you a chain like that"
He said as he interrupted Naraca's words.
Naraca just stood there as Cotes left rather happily to go and get a long chain. He came back shortly after with a roll of chain around his shoulder. He walked back up to Naraca and handed to him.
"Here you go sir" said Cotes.
Naraca nodded his head as he took the chains and shouldered them.
"Thanks" He said to Cotes.
"What was that sir?" Cotes asked.
Naraca sighed and just shook his head as he left.
"Thank you Cotes" He told him as he held back his small feeling of annoyance.
Cotes waved his hand with a goodbye.
"No problem sir! Have a good day!" Cotes replied before he went back to the pipe and began cutting it.

Ignoring that annoyance Naraca made his way back to Kiara who snatched the chains from his shoulder once he came back.
He could just simply watch as she made the play ground made of ice. This was good what she was doing, she was looking out for the children and making them a new play ground. There old was probably burned. She worked hard on it, making sure the details were just right and that it would be very child friendly. This was a good space to do it as well.
"It's looks good, all made of ice, I hope the children are used to puttin there butts on the colds" He said with a hint of sarcasm as he knew the natives of this land were so used to the cold that just about everything was made of ice and they were perfectly fine. Most of the warmth they ever needed would only need to come from a fireplace.

Once she was finished Naraca walked up beside Kiara and looked around the club area she had made for them.
"Yeah, you did a good job" He told her to reassure her she did well.
With that Kiara had taken his hand and ran ahead. Naraca sighed a little under his normal breath as he was forced to go to where she ran off to. Would this become a habit of hers? Pulling him around like a horse?

Once in the spirit temple Naraca slowed to a walk as he looked at all the people that had gathered. There were so...Few, were these really all the people that were left? This was genocide, Naraca felt his teeth push against each other a little. All these people and not one of them had there heads up. Some looked anxious as though something was going to happen, but none of them had a trace of joy on there faces.
Was this the peace that all of our ancestors had worked so hard on? What did they all even die for? Was there a reason for this?
Despite the lives Naraca has taken, he had a deep hatred for killing, to him it never solved anything, it just brought more death. It's not a cure when you kill someone, it's an infection that spreads, with a death will always come more death.

Naraca noticed Tikanni and Kiara coming together within a larger circle that was forming around a lake. Upon taking a look at it Naraca felt a small sick feeling his stomach which caused him to look away. Things from the spirit world in general he always felt odd about. Had people known his past they wouldn't blame him.
He casually walked into a space within the circle as everyone was forming on as he assumed Tikanni wanted him in there as well as she said everyone. They all had to wait for a while as Kiara and Tikanni concentrated together.
Naraca couldn't honestly say he had no idea what was going on right now. However he kept his gaze away from the lake.

His eye's were already on Kiara when she suddenly opened her eye's which were brightly glowing blue. The Avatar State again? Why?
He quickly noticed Tikanni's eye's opening with a silver color. Once they did he saw the water rippling as a strong spiritual presence began to fill the air. The sick feeling within Naraca's stomach got just a little more noticeable, enough for him to give out a small facial twitch on his nose and mouth. This didn't feel good, he didn't want to leave this moment, but it was a little uncomfortable to stay. He remained firm in his stance and just kept the sick feeling under control.
One by one, spirits started to appear around all the people that were apart of this large circle. Naraca's eye's widened a little at the sight. Were these all the people that had died? This was unbelievable, was this Tikanni's doing or perhaps Kiara? No, they had to both be doing this somehow.
So they were able to call up the spirits of the dead?

Naraca's sick feeling was still present, but he felt a little heavy once he realized this. Why?
His thoughts had turned to his parents...And his brother.

He wouldn't say a thing though, this was for these people, Naraca felt selfish to ask for such a thing. Those were a few of his many scars, he didn't want to reopen them. A small part of him though wondered what that would be like, how he would react if he had seen them again.

As all the spirits had gone to there loved ones and held them closely, Naraca stood alone. The giant, ever the watch tower. He saw there faces, saw how happy they were, how surprised they were. Naraca even felt a smile coming at the site. He could see everything. He stayed quiet, he respect the dead as he stood tall as he let everyone be with there loved ones. He wouldn't get in the way of this.
Among the sea of people, there were two bright spirits that rose from the lake, they wore the faces of the King and Queen of this tribe. Naraca felt the small sensation of shock travel through out his body as he saw them, followed by the sick feeling the hung over him.

The King and Queen went to there children and hugged them tightly, Naraca smiled at the site. The even gave everyone there words to reassure everyone that they were okay. The image of there bodies flashed in the Earth Kings mind. After seeing them like that, it was hard to process that they were here now.
When they turned to face Naraca however, his eye's narrowed through curiosity.

They had told him to help watch over this place, and there children. They wanted him to watch over Kiara and Otaka with the Northern Water Tribe? He was shocked by the request, they didn't even know him that well. Yet...No they must have known him now. In the spirit world you can see all, in that moment of there death, when Kiara was traveling, they must have seen Naraca and frantically searched his soul to see if he was a good man. He wasn't very educated in the Spirit world and how it worked, however he had an idea.
They entrusted not only Kiara and Otaka to The Northern Water Tribe, but to Naraca as well. Him personally, not even the Earth Nation no...Just him.

He didn't know how to feel about it.
He would honor them, yes of course, that's what he knew he'd do.

He nodded his head then lifted his right hand up and made a fist. He touched his fist to his chest and looked directly into the eye's of the spirits. Showing he had taken there request, and placed it into his heart for safe keeping.
By doing this, he had become Kiara's Guardian.

They had left shortly after then, making to sure to say goodbye to Kiara and Otaka first. Once they did Otaka had caught Tikanni and told Kiara to leave for the Fire Nation. The next step in there journey now was to find out how this happened. They had to make sure all these deaths wouldn't be in vain.
Naraca took one last look at this place despite the sickness he felt, he would remember it. These people, this land, those that died here. He was given the task of making sure they were safe, of keeping everyone happy and going down a good path.
Whoever or whatever had done this to these people, Naraca would make sure that these people would not be changed by it in the way that the that was intended by the enemy that did this.

He turned and walked out as did Kiara. Walking away from the temple, Naraca had a lot he had to take in, a lot to think about.
It was strange, looking back now...Only a few hours ago...There he was with his fist in that metal wall he had punched. Thinking to himself "Is this all I have left?"
The change in his life now was something he had yet to fully grasp. This was his wish though wasn't it? Indeed it was, but was he happy about it? In a way he was, this gave his life purpose again, he had a personal reason that stemmed beyond just the Earth Nation now.

"I'm happy for you" Naraca told Kiara in reply to what she had said.
"Not many people get to see there loved ones again, you have closure now....Heh...And now I have a responsibility" He said with a small smile and they made there way to the air ship.
"I guess with your parents request, this makes me your guardian. I woulda never guessed that would happen when you walked into my throne just a few hours ago" He told her before they walked back into the air ship.
Once inside, Naraca made his way up the stairs.
"I get us moving now, you can wait here if you want" He told Kiara before he would walk up the stairs and in the bridge.
Once in the bridge he would turn his head to Tug.
"Where to cappy?" Tug asked Naraca.
"The Fire Nations Palace, were gonna have a word with The Fire Lord" He told the Helmsmen.
Tug simply smiled as he heard that, he reached up and pulled out the microphone.
"Alright ereebody! Were taking off for da fire nation!!" He yelled out so everyone on the ship could hear.
The ship wouldn't take long before it rose up slowly. Naraca nodded his head to Tug before turning around to go back to where Kiara was. As he did though he realized that as this ship would ascend, what better place to be then outside right now? Wouldn't the both of them need to see the Southern Water Tribe one last time before they left?
Naraca had a feeling she might be on the deck of the ship so he took the elevator up to the deck where they could be outside and watch as they left the icy land.

Once up top if Kiara was there he would go to stand beside her and lean against the railing as they would look over to see The Southern Water Tribe.
"We'll find out who did this, I promise you" He would say to Kiara if she was up there, otherwise he would simply stay quiet and watch had she been elsewhere. He would instead tell himself in his head that he would find out who did this.

The Fire Nation was next, and the one who did this would soon be revealed if Naraca had anything to say about it. He only hoped they could do this peacefully, he hoped the fire nation would not be at fault and that it was something else.
The last thing he wanted was a war to break out.
