Explanation:

Before we dive into the explanation of the character application form let's have a few words about its format.
Firstly anything that is underlined, bold and font size 16 is a section title and not an actual field you need to fill in.
Anything in [square brackets] is an optional field. You don't really need to fill it in, but I suggest you do. It adds flavour and when a creator manages to fill out all of the optional fields it's usually a good indication that (s)he has given the character more thought and depth.

Another important general note, ALL information about your character should be on the character sheet, retconning is not allowed unless you can give a sensible reason for it. That means even if your character has amnesia you should still have a full history and personality section, even if your character always has his or her face covered and no one knows what (s)he looks like you must still give a full description of the character. Any information that is unknown to most/all other characters you should write it in italics you may specify between wavy parentheses {} who knows this.

Now, on to the actual explanation:

Identification
Name: Your character's given name, middle name (if any) and last name in that order.
Aliases: If your character has aliases or nicknames then list them here.
Age: Your character's age.
Gender: Your character's gender.
Nationality: Your character's nationality. Can be different from
Birthplace: Where was your character born? You should at least have your character's country of birth noted down here. If your character was born in a name settlement you must also write that down. If you have invented a settlement for your character feel free to put that here as well.
Residence: Where does your character currently reside? If (s)he travels around and has no fixed residence 'Vagrant' is an option.
Class: Is your character a bender or a non-bender?
Occupation: What does your character do for a living? If your character has no job then 'None' is an option.
Date of Birth: What day and month was your character born? Year isn't necessary as that can be worked out from his/her age.

Psyche
Personality:
[Quirks]: Does your character have any usual character traits?
[Theme Song]: Is there a song that embodies your character?

Past
History: What is your character's backstory? Where did (s)he come from and how did (s)he get where (s)he is now? What made him/her who (s)he is today? There is no set minimum amount and there is certainly no maximum amount you can write here, but know that we expect a detailed account, at the very least enough to justify your character's current personality.

Appearance
General: Your character's physical appearance, in detail. Hair, eyes, face, build, proportions, muscle definition, curvature all that good stuff. After reading this we should have a rather clear image of what your character looks like without even needing a picture. The magic of words.
Height: How tall is your character. In meters. None of that silly feet and inches nonsense. If you have trouble with the metric system use this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Weight: How much does your character weigh? Again. We use the metric system, and again, if the metric system befuddles you as much as lbs befuddles me then use this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Clothing: What clothes do your character wear? If your character's clothes change from day to day like a normal person's attire then simply give an idea of what style of clothing they wear. What colours they usually wear, what style and cut of clothing, that sort of stuff.
[Picture]: Y'know how they say a picture paints a thousand words? Well putting a picture of your character here won't stop us from forcing you to write those words in the 'General' section, but feel free to put one up nonetheless, if you have one.

Skills
Hobbies: List your character non-combat oriented occupations here with a short description of why they like that activity and of how good or bad they are at it.
Bending Stage: You start at a maximum of Stage Three

Strengths: See the link for rules on Strength and Weaknesses here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
To note, remember that if you want a powerful major or a crafty minor strength, you must create an equal weakness to balance out your character. The judgement on if things are balanced will depend on the mod decision.

Combat Style: Give a general description of how your character capitalizes on their strengths and attempt to mitigate their weaknesses in combat.
